Unaffiliated MP Mihai Godea, the leader of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), has requested the Constitutional Court to verify the validity of the attempt to elect a President on December 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a press release from DAP it was said that out of 62 MPs who cast ballots, 61 exposed them to public viewing, and only Mihai Godea kept his ballot secret. After Parliament proclaimed the December 16 attempt failed yet valid, Mihai Godea announced his intention to challenge its validity citing the failure to observe the secrecy principle. The idea to show the ballots was proposed by the only presidential candidate, Democrat Marian Lupu.
