Mihai Ghimpu wishes Romanian people peace and propensity

Acting President Mihai Ghimpu addressed a message of congratulation to Romanian President Traian Basescu on the occasion of Romania's National Day. Mihai Ghimpu thanked Traian Basescu for his openness and understanding and for the really fraternal relationship existing between Chisinau and Bucharest, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service. Mihai Ghimpu says he really appreciates the effort made by Romania to promote and constantly support Moldova on any occasion and within the international and regional organizations. “I'm convinced that the generations to come will appreciate the contribution of the Romanian people and their leaders to Moldova's integration into the European family. We are deeply grateful for your wisdom and patience in helping us promote our common ideal of becoming part of the EU,” reads the message. The Acting President thanked the Romanian head of state for the support provided to Moldova in promoting democratic and economic reforms and building a state of law based on European values. “We count on the Romanian authorities' support in the future and are ready to take actions that will benefit the people living on the banks of the Prut,” said Mihai Ghimpu.
