Mihai Ghimpu was legally elected as President of Chisinau Municipal Council, Supreme Court of Justice rules

The Supreme Court of Justice has given the case to the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) in the law-suit concerning the legality of the decision of October 2007 on electing Mihai Ghimpu as the president of the CMC, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Public Relations Dept. of the City Hall. Thus, the Court has upheld the judgment of the Chisinau Court of Appeals of March 11, this year, and rejected the appeal of the Administrative Control Direction of the Local Public Administration Ministry, which had challenged the legality of the decision.
