Mihai Ghimpu to pay short visit to Brussels

Moldova's Acting President and Head of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu will travel to Brussels for a short visit today in the afternoon. Mihai Ghimpu has told Info-Prim Neo that he will have meetings with the President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Stefan Fule, and, possibly, with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barosso. The meetings with the European officials are set to take place today. “The agenda of the meetings includes such issues as the modification of the Constitution, overcoming of the early elections and ensuring of stability in Moldova,” Ghimpu said. The Speaker will be accompanied by Liberal MP Ion Apostol.
