The leader of the PL Mihai Ghimpu said the agreement between the PLDM and PDM confirms the suppositions that from the very beginning they didn’t intend to form an alliance with the Liberals. After the January 23 sitting of Parliament, the Liberal leader said that this agreement is a lie brought before the people and Brussels and represents defiance of Europe and of the European parties, IPN reports.
Mihai Ghimpu also said that the PL was removed from power. “This decision was taken by them, not by us. I think everyone understood this,” said Mihai Ghimpu. He also said that there won’t be a minority coalition, but a tacit majority coalition between the PLDM, PDM and PCRM.
On January 23, the PLDM and PDM signed an agreement on the formation of the Alliance for a European Moldova. After the signing, the administration of Parliament and the Standing Bureau were elected by a majority of votes.
