The chairman of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu said he does not understand what Igor Dodon is thinking about. “He said that he wants to assert himself on the political arena, but makes contradictory statements. He says he will support the Alliance for European Integration, but then asserts that he will destroy it,” the MP said in a press briefing on Thursday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “The leader of the Socialists Igor Dodon is a beginner in politics. He contradicts himself. Dodon supported the alliance by voting for the presidential candidate fielded by the AEI. I do not really understand what is there in his head. A real man keeps silent and does things, not goes around and cries as Dodon does,” said Mihai Ghimpu. Earlier, Igor Dodon said now that Nicolae Timofti was elected President, the AEI lost its authority. According to him, the reformation of the government must be completed by creating a new parliamentary majority. He stressed that the priorities of the Socialists this year include the reformation of the government and the removal of the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca by referendum. Igor Dodon also said that in several weeks the Socialists may create a shadow government.
