Mihai Ghimpu: PLDM's offer is good, but a little late

The PLDM's offer to the PDM and PL is good, but a little late as it was made eight days after the elections, while the PCRM already started the talks with the PDM, the leader of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu said in a news conference, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Acting President said the discussed principles and values were included in the statement signed by the leaders of the four parties of the Alliance for European Integration on August 8. They are valid this year and will be valid next year, he stated. Mihai Ghimpu said he does not understand why the PLDM waited for a Russian official to come (the head of the Russian presidential administration Sergey Naryshkin – e.n.) and then made the offer and why the offer was made through the media, not directly to the two leaders. He stated that the trilateral meeting might have taken place earlier. Mihai Ghimpu reiterated that the parties that will form the alliance must propose mechanisms whereby they can honor their commitments. He said that not only the three posts announced by the PLDM are important for the government to be functional. Therefore, the three leaders must hold talks and form an alliance. On December 7, the president of the PLDM Vlad Filat made public an offer, under which the Democratic Party is to designate the President of Moldova, the Liberal Party - the Speaker, while the Liberal Democratic Party – the Premier.
