Hoping that the PLDM-PDM-PL alliance will be made was just a dream because the PLDM and PDM chose to form a coalition with the PCRM, the leader of the PL Mihai Ghimpu said at the end of the extraordinary session of Parliament. He noted that the formation of a coalition with the Communists was confirmed by the way in which the permanent commissions were filled as the principle of proportionality wasn’t obeyed, IPN reports
Asked if he will support the Leanca Government now that the Communists announced that they will not vote Iurie Leana Prime Minister, Mihai Ghimpu said a decision will be taken by the PL only after the head of state issues a decree designating a candidate for premiership, but underlined that they will not allow the Liberals to be used in the west-east leaning politics.
After the sitting, the head of the PDM Marian Lupu said he is optimistic that the Leanca Government will be voted in, either with the help of the Communists or of the Liberals. It is important for the Cabinet to be invested as this is what the people want.
On January 28, the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin said the Communist MPs will not vote Iurie Leanca Premier as they want an apolitical candidate from the business sector to be fielded for the post of head of Government.
