Mihai Ghimpu: No one has the right to put pressure on parliamentarians

“No one has the right to put pressure on the MPs. The parliamentarians should be free to make decisions without pressures both from inside and outside”, this is how Liberal Party president Mihai Ghimpu commented on the intention of a group of activists to lock up the MPs inside the Parliament building until a president is elected. Mihai Ghimpu said this is an attempt of those who plan it to show off. On Monday, a group of activists called the Congress of Civil Society and headed by Fiodor Ghelici said they would block the MPs inside the Republic Palace if they fail to elect a president until May 1.
