The Liberal Party’s head Mihai Ghimpu made a public invitation to the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) to take part in the negotiations on the formation of the future government alliance after the discussions held by the Democrats, the Liberals and the members of the Leanca’s group in the evening of November 9, IPN reports.

“The Lib-Dems must sit at the negotiating table together with us. I will phone them personally to invite them. We have what to say to each other, but the country needs a Government. Those from the PLDM have a plan of action. We also have one and should sit down and discuss them,” stated Ghimpu.

The Liberals’ leader noted that a majority parliamentary coalition can be formed with the participation of the PLDM. “If we do not have a Government, the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU will fail. That’s why we need the colleagues from the PLDM. The absence of a Government means lack of an agreement with the IMF and of the first tranche of €60 million from Romania. Leave anger at home! We reached the current crisis owing to the theft of the billion. We will not have higher pensions and salaries if we do not fight corruption and do not do reforms. We thus need a Government. The Republic of Moldova does not need welfare only, but also peace. We must not follow the example of Ukraine. Ukraine is ready to help us to settle the Transnistrian dispute, but we must have a Government,” said Mihai Ghimpu.

He also said that he will no way take part in a government coalition formed together with the Communists.
