Mihai Dolgan music will be played in public transport

Beginning on March 14, the songs of the late musician Mihai Dolgan will be played in Chisinau's minibuses, buses and trolleybuses, Info-Prim Neo reports. Lucia Culev, head of the municipal Culture Department, said during the City Hall's meeting on Monday that this action is meant to mark Mihai Dolgan's birth anniversary on March 15, when we would have turned 69. Lucia Culev sa Mihai Dolgan was the second in artists’ calendar, which began on March 1, when Eugen Doga was honored. This is an initiative of Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, who said that artists should be paid homage on their birthdays by playing their music or verses in the public transport. The famed Moldovan singer and composer Mihai Dolgan was born on March 15, 1942, in Vladmiresti village, Singerei district. Dolgan founded the legendary band “Noroc”. He died of cancer on 16 March 2008.
