The constant wave of emigrants from Moldova threats the economy of the country, fact which could lead to a collapse. This is the conclusion of a series of articles made public by the international media, the Romanian press informs.
The Moldovan workers are more and more solicited in Europe, especially in Spain, Italy, Romania and lately in Czech Republic, country which announced its interest for attracting Moldovan labour power.
According to official data, the Moldovan citizens are on the first place in Europe, among the countries which are not included in the European Union and are most accepted at work abroad. The official statistics show that the national economy depends to a great extent on the remittances wired by the Moldovans working abroad.
At present, tens of thousands of citizens of Moldova who work abroad spend their vacations in the country. Several experts say that the recent strengthening of the national currency against the other currencies – Euro, US Dollar, Russian rubble and Romanian leu is closely linked to the vacation of Moldovans working abroad.
Meanwhile, the economy of Moldova registers a negative trend due to the lack of qualified labour power and markets for the sale of products.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Problems of Czech Republic together with the Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Interiors of Moldova work out measures on easing the employment process of the persons abroad and try to eliminate the present restrictions. According to Radio Praha, in order to prove the interest for Moldova, the Czech government opened the Embassy of Czech Republic in Chisinau at the beginning of the year.
The Moldovans have a reputation of good and straightforward workers. They are ready to handle any job because at home they have few possibilities to earn money.
