The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, in partnership with the Office for the Diaspora, has launched a project called “A book for children in the diaspora” to mark the International Children’s Day on June 1, announced Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu.
The project aims to bring families and children from Moldova closer to their homeland through access to books by local authors, to modern resources for learning Romanian, as well as opportunities to discover Moldovan culture and literature.
“Our diplomatic missions have their doors wide open for our communities abroad for cultural activities and for building ties among compatriots. We wish all children to have a nice read, a happy childhood in peace and well-being, and to the parents, see you on Diaspora Day, traditionally organized in August”, said Minister Popescu.
