Not a single Moldovan national has been affected by the wildfires raging in the resort island of Thasos in Greece, says the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The Greek authorities have ordered the evacuation of people from the affected areas, while firefighters are intervening to put out the fires.
No requests for help have been received so far by the Moldovan diplomatic mission in Athens, the MFAEI says. Meanwhile, it is advised not to travel to areas with wildfire risk, and those already there are encouraged to contact the diplomatic mission.
