The Moldovans who also have citizenship of EU member states are encouraged to vote in the June 9 European Parliament elections at polling stations opened in Moldova. “Through our massive presence, we prove that we are Europeans and that our place is in the EU, thus contributing to our European development and integration,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi.
Fifty-two polling stations will be established for the European Parliament elections in the Republic of Moldova. A number of polling stations will be opened for the citizens of Romania and Bulgaria, while for the citizens of the other countries the voting will take place at the diplomatic missions located in Moldova, IPN reports.
Polls will open at 7 a.m. and will close at 10 p.m.
Mihai Popșoi stressed that the participation in these elections is essential to ensure that our voice is heard in the European Union and to bring Moldova closer to the EU.
