Iran launched a drone and missile attack on Israeli territory late Saturday night in retaliation for an alleged Israeli attack near its embassy compound in Syria on April 1, which resulted in the death of top commanders of the Revolutionary Guard Corps. The foreign press reported that the organized attack with more than 300 missiles and drones, most of them launched from inside Iran, caused only minor damage because they were shot down by the defense system.

The Moldovan authorities strongly condemned Iran’s attack on Israel. “We stand in solidarity with Israel and its people as regional security throughout the Middle East is seriously threatened and further escalation must be avoided,” said Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
