His Holiness Petru, Metropolitan Bishop of Bessarabia, Archpriest of Chisinau and Exarch of Land, addressed an Easter letter to the faithful, calling on them to multiply the good deeds and to behave towards each other as they behave towards Jesus Christ as the people nowadays need a lot of love, mercy and kindness, IPN reports.
Metropolitan Bishop Petru in his letter said the Resurrection of God is by excellence the greatest feast of all the feasts as it represents the foundation stone on which our Church is built and which represents the basis of our Christian teaching.
“The absence of the Resurrection Light from our lives makes us distance ourselves more from our fellows. We do not have time to lose and should share the Resurrecting Light with all our force and should thus put our trust in God, the one who returned to life,” says the message of Metropolitan Bishop Petru.
“I call on you to try and multiply the goods deeds in the period as the people nowadays need more love, mercy and kindness. Let’s see the Revived God in all our fellows and behave towards them as we behave towards Jesus Christ as we are now all called to look into the sky and open our arms to our fellows, saying brothers! also to those who hate us, forgiving everything for the sake of resurrection and acclaiming our Lord.”
