After polling stations closed in the country, most presidential candidates addressed voters with messages, emphasizing the importance of their participation in the electoral process, reports IPN.

Socialist Party candidate Alexandr Stoianoglo thanked voters, highlighting his appreciation for citizens' involvement in the election. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every vote. Regardless of the outcome of the election, it is important that everyone expresses their opinion," he said.

Natalia Morari stressed the importance of a better future for the country, expressing hope that the elections would not be rigged. She added that her vote reflects the desire for a "new Moldova, a country you don't want to leave."

The leader of "Our Party," Renato Usatîi, expressed gratitude to the voters, emphasizing that every vote matters "for the future of the Republic of Moldova, not just for the candidates." He thanked his team for their work during the campaign and stressed that the fight would continue.

"Thank you for your support! I am once again convinced that we are one big Moldovan family!" Irina Vlah wrote on her social media.

Tudor Ulianovschi thanked his supporters, noting that every vote cast is a step towards a "normal Moldova." However, the candidate reported several violations at polling stations abroad, which could potentially affect the election results.

Vasile Tarlev began his message of gratitude by addressing voters in the diaspora. "I bow to those who had to travel thousands of kilometers to cast their vote. This campaign was particularly difficult, controversial, with some deviations, conditions that discriminated against candidates and limited the press, but thank you for participating in the elections," said Vasile Tarlev.

According to preliminary data, after processing half of the protocols, Maia Sandu has received 35.5% of the votes, Alexandr Stoianoglo has 29.3%, Renato Usatîi is in third place with 14.5%, and Irina Vlah is in fourth place with 5.8%.
