MEPs on visit to Chisinau

A delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament came to Chisinau on a two-day visit, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Moldovan legislative body's press service. The MEPs will have meetings with Acting President and Head of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, representatives of the Government and Parliament, EU Ambassadors, and representatives of civil society. They will also pay a visit to Tiraspol. The delegation consists of MEPs Graham Watson (the UK), European Parliament rapporteur for Moldova responsible for monitoring the process of negotiating the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, Monica Luisa Macovei (Romania), Cristian Dan Preda (Romania), Tatjana Zdanoka (Latvia), and Adam Bielan (Poland).
