Memories of poet and man Grigore Vieru

Writers, poets, singers and students on February 10 will render homage to Grigore Vieru in a concert dedicated to the 76th birthday of the bard. The concert titled “I'm a Flower like a Lyre” will take place at the branch of the National Children's Library “Ion Creanga” housed in the Theater “Licurici”, starting at 13.30, the library's deputy head Eugenia Berjan has told Info-Prim Neo. The event will involve academician Mihai Cimpoi, writers Spiridon Vangheli and Nicolae Dabija, and other people of culture. The late bard's wife Raisa Vieru will share memories of the poet and man Grigore Vierto with the children. Grigore Vieru's poems will be sung by children of the kindergarten “Ingeraul”, the school of arts “V. Poleacov”, and the high schools “Gheorghe Asachi”, “Mihai Viteazul”, “Nicolae Iorga” and “Dante Alighieri”. Singer Stefanel Roscovan, who is a laureate of national and international contests, and the children's choral group “Soimii” of “Mihai Viteazul” high school will sing songs under the poet's verses. The second bibliographic book “Grigore Vieru”, produced by the Library “Ion Creanga”, will be launched during the event. There will be presented a report where the library's visitors speak about the bard Grigore Vieru. On February 14, Grigore Vieru would have turned 76.
