The Chisinau police detained two men, 26 and 32, who acted as couriers for an online drug network. They were arrested while cruising in a BMW to plant doses in caches.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, searches carried out in the suspects’ car and homes revealed 200 grams of mephedrone, 100 grams of cocaine and 100 grams of hashish. The police also seized phones, a high-precision electronic scale, rolls of adhesive tape and empty Ziploc bags used to package prohibited substances.
A criminal case was opened on charges of illegal circulation of drugs.
The suspects, who had been monitored by the police for several months, face from 7 to 15 years in prison.
