Members of Moldova’s first Parliament said that since June 2019, when the ACUM-PSRM Kozak Alliance was formed, the state institutions and the state in general were recaptured by one person, the Head of State. In a news conference at IPN, ex-MPs made public the statement of the public association “Parlamentul-90”, where it is said that Vlad Plahotniuc was replaced by Igor Dodon, the representative and open and declared advocate of the Russian Federation in Chisinau.

The members of the first Parliament said that after the PSRM-PDM alliance was formed last November, “the state institutions, especially the police force and the foreign policy bodies, were captured by declared representatives of the Russian interests. The more offensive and more primitive attempts to rewrite dramatic pages of our recent history in the interests of the Russian Federation by fallacies that distort historic reality are a proof of this,” says the statement that was read by Alexandru Arseni.

The statement reminds of the assertion of former minister of foreign affairs Nicu Popescu, who said that the Nistru war was a civil one, and of the current minister Aureliu Ciocoi’s assertion that factually, Russia’s army deployed in Transnistria intervened to stop the bloodshed.

Anatol Țăranu said there are now many documents that explain what happened in 1992 and the most plausible one is the May 20, 1992 statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, which noted that it was an aggression of the Russian Federation, in particular of the 14th Army, against the Republic of Moldova. “The current government does nothing but instigate a new war,” stated the ex-MP.

Valentin Dolganiuc noted that Russia is that empire of the evil that opposes all decisions that bring peace and balance in the world. If the Russian Federation hadn’t existed, the war of 1992 wouldn’t have been waged. If the Russian Federation hadn’t existed, the territory of the Republic of Moldova wouldn’t have been occupied by foreign troops.

Andrei Țurcanu stated that our society has to solve a problem – to get rid of Igor Dodon, and this should happen by autumn. “Owing to the sluggishness that dominates our politics, in autumn this personage could be installed as President for another four years. Such a move would mean a disaster for many decades or even centuries to come,” said the former MP.

The members of Moldova’s first Parliament ask the prosecutor general to investigate the financing by the Russian Federation of President Igor Dodon and the PSRM and other officials “for intentional steps taken by a citizen of the Republic of Moldova to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial inviolability, state security and defense capacity of the Republic of Moldova.”
