Members of the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party (PL) made a call to all the members of the party who hesitate to choose the path to the party’s reformation, re-dimensioning of the position and its importance in the national and international political sphere. The call was made in the national meeting of representatives of the local organizations of the Liberal Party that joined the Council for Reforming the PL and observers from the organizations that are in the process of joining it, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Council, the over 80 persons who took part in the meeting represented 19 local organizations and Chisinau. The meeting focused on the state of spirit in the Liberal party after the creation of a democratic majority in Parliament and the voting in of a new pro-European Government on May 30.

It was established that the political stability for which the Council pleaded was welcomed by the international organizations, the development partners and the national public opinion. The Council members consider that the political stability restored functionality in the state, while the opponents from inside the Liberal Party found themselves in opposition to a pro-European government, alongside the Communists and the Socialists.

The meeting participants set out the main tactical-political and organizational goals of the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party with a view to organizing and holding the extraordinary congress of the PL.
