A number of meetings with parents, parents’ committees and associations, teachers and representatives of local education inspectorates will be held at kindergartens in Chisinau as of January 18. The goal of the meetings that will involve by an officer of the National Anticorruption Center is to discuss the illegal collection of funds in kindergartens and to identify legal solutions to stop such acts, IPN reports.
The initiative was proposed by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau Municipal Council, which sought assistance from the National Anticorruption Center in promoting an integrity climate in the managed institutions and in definitively solving the problem of illegal collection of payments in the education system.
This way, by the end of this month, officers of the National Anticorruption Center will attend the meetings held in the kindergartens where many complaints from parents were recorded. Among these are Kindergarten No.40 of Botanica district, Kindergarten No. 183 of Buiucani district, Kindergarten No. 7 of Centru district, Kindergarten No. 179 of Ciocana district and Kindergarten No. 196 of Râșcani district.
