Meeting to constitute CMC adjourned owing to absence of quorum

The meeting to constitute the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) set for today, July 15, did not take place because the quorum was not present, Info-Prim Neo reports. Only the councilors representing the Community Part came to the meeting. Central Election Commission chairman Iurie Ciocan said at least 34 of the 51 councilors should be present at the inception meeting. Only 26 attended the meeting today. The next meeting was scheduled for July 18. If the CMC is not constituted by three attempts, new elections are announced.
