Meeting of AEI Council announced officially beforehand for first time

The Alliance for European Integration (AEI) on March 18 will open discussions to formulate a joint and final position as regards the election of the head of state, said Marian Lupu, the leader of the Democratic Party, which is holding the presidency of the Alliance's Council from this week. For the first time, the meeting of the AIE Council was officially announced beforehand, Info-Prim Neo reports. “All these games when every one has their own stance and hold separate negotiates are not right. Our foreign partners are also concerned as they want the Alliance for European Integration to be functional and achieve all the objectives concerning the European integration,” said Marian Lupu. The leader of the PDM said that the other components of the Alliance have been already informed about the Council's meeting and the meeting in extended format of the lawmakers of the government coalition. According to Marian Lupu, the agenda of the Council's meeting will include such issues as the appointment of deputy ministers, the designation of the permanent delegations of the legislative body, the fiscal policy bill, the draft state budget law, the draft state social insurance budget law, and others. It is for the first time that a party leader informs the press about the future meetings of the AEI Council and the meetings of the AEI lawmakers. Earlier, the Council was chaired by the PLDM. Under the agreement on the constitution of the ruling alliance, the presidency of the Council is held by all the constituents in rotation for a month.
