Electoral district № 17: Nisporeni territorially includes the city of Nisporeni and 22 other settlements, as well as three other settlements from the Strășeni district. Voters may cast their vote at polling stations 17 / 1-17 / 50. The candidate who accumulates the largest number of votes, regardless of the voter turnout, will be declared winner of the uninominal constituency.

The Democratic Party candidate, Ghenadie Verdeș is the first in the paper ballot. He is an economist. From September 2017 he was elected to the position of president of the Nisporeni district. Previously, he held the position of vice president. The candidate has been working within the local public administration since 2011. Before that, he was an entrepreneur. He ran for mayor of Nisporeni on behalf of the Liberal Party at the 2011 elections, then joined the PDM. Between January 1, 2017 and December 2018, Ghenadie Verdeș's income statement shows revenues worth over 504 thousand lei. He owns two agricultural lands and an extra-urban land lot, as well as an apartment and a car.

The second candidate in the paper ballot is Pavel Artamonov, the Socialist Party hopeful. He is a specialist in public administration. According to alege2019.md, between 1999 and 2004, the candidate worked as a weightlifting trainer in the Nisporeni Sports School. Between 2004 and 2015, he worked as a driver at the "Tavisma" company in Nisporeni. As of October 31, 2017, Pavel Artamonov is a city councilor in Nisporeni on behalf of PSRM. Starting 2016, Pavel Artamonov is the chairperson of the Nisporeni regional party organization. Between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018, the candidate's family income statement shows salaries worth over 70 thousand lei. The candidate owns three cars.

The ACUM electoral bloc DA PAS candidate, Ion Terguță, is the third on the paper ballot list. As of July 2018, he was vice chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, however, he resigned in March 2019. Ion Terguță is a journalist and an economist. In 2017, he was director of the TV8 TV station, while previously holding the director position at the TRCI "MIR" National Representation of the Republic of Moldova. Additionally, the candidate held the position of deputy director at the Info-Prim Press Agency. His family’s income statement for January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018, shows wages worth 1.3 million lei. The family owns an agricultural land, an urban land lot, an apartment and an unfinished residential house, as well as two cars.

The fourth hopeful is the Party of National Unity candidate, Ana Guțu, who is a philologist and a university professor. She is the chairwoman of the Higher Institute of French Studies. Ana Guțu, first vice chairperson of the Party of National Unity, was an MP between 2009 and 2014, while being elected on the Liberal Party lists. In 2013, she left the PL, along with other six Liberal MPs, and created the Liberal Reformist Party, a party that she later left. Between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018, along with her husband, the candidate showed over 981 thousand lei in income. The family owns two apartments and a car.

The fifth place in the paper ballot is held by the Communist Party candidate, Ion Țugulea, a technical engineer. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in local public administration. He is the first secretary of the Nisporeni District Committee of the PCRM. Between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018, along with his wife, the candidate shows incomes amounting to nearly 666 thousand lei, coming from salaries and pensions. The family owns an urban lot of land, an extra-urban land, a residence and a car.

Emilia Ristic, independent candidate, is the sixth in the paper ballot. She is an economist. She works as chief consultant within the Ministry of Finance. Her income statement showed income worth almost 450 thousand lei for the period between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018. Emilia Ristic owns half the share of two agricultural lands and of one urban and one extra-urban lots of land. Additionally, she owns half of an apartment, a residential house, a garage and a car. She is the owner of the "OKAY Project SRL" company, which is a service provider.

The seventh hopeful on the list is the independent candidate Ion Angheluță, who is a surgeon. Currently, he works at the Strășeni District Hospital. In his income statement for the January 1, 2017, December 31, 2018 period, the candidate showed his wife's salary, which was almost 596 thousand lei, as well as his pension of about 80 thousand lei. The family owns four lands, a dwelling house with an annex, an apartment and two transport units.

On October 20, 2019, snap parliamentary elections are held in four electoral districts: № 17, 33, 48 and 50. Over 20.5 thousand citizens cast their votes for Vlad Plahotniuc, who won the February 24 election in the constituency 17 Nisporeni. The former Democratic leader resigned from office at the end of July, arguing that, with the submission of his mandate and the waiver of parliamentary immunity, he wants "to put an end to political abuses and pressures on law institutions".
