The Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices ordered immediately withdrawing the pills Gynipral from drugstores. The medicine made in Austria is prescribed to pregnant women, IPN reports.
Under an order made by the Agency, the pills Gynipral must be returned to importers’ storehouses by December 4. The Pharmaceutical Inspectorate will verify if the drugstores obeyed the order. Gynecologists were informed that they can further prescribe the medicine Gynipral in injective form to pregnant women.
European experts established that the given drug administered during pregnancy in the form of pills causes cardiovascular diseases in the mother and fetus.
