The medical hospital and primary assistance services will be gradually resumed as of May 16. The one-day surgery services, surgeries on patients with small anesthetic risk and others will become available. As to primary medical assistance, appointments must be scheduled in this case in order to avoid crowdedness, IPN reports.
After the May 15 meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu said the medical examinations for prophylactic purposes in ambulatory conditions are resumed. The decision refers to consultative diagnostic and treatment activities, planned screening activities and immunization.
The consultations for referring patients for primary examination and for reexamination of cases that meet the criteria for granting a disability degree will also become available.
As from May 16, dentals services based on appointment scheduling are also restarted, but the precautionary conditions must be mandatorily respected by doctors and patients.
The infections with the novel coronavirus in Moldova now total 5,745. Of those infected, 2,280 got cured. The death toll from COVID-19 stands at 202.
