Medical personnel will be taken to work by minibuses of National Army

The medical staff of the Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorbă”, the Emergency Medicine Institute and the Municipal Children’s Contagious Diseases Hospital in the morning of March 23 were transported to work by minibuses of the National Army, which will provide vehicles and personnel in a move to support the authorities in the fight against the novel coronavirus, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Army.

According to Minister of Defense Alexandru Pînzari, the decision to provide units of transport was taken at the request of the Government, in particular of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. The National Army’s servicemen will be on duty for an indefinite period of time and will offer assistance whenever it is need.

Also, ambulances of the Central Clinical Military Hospital of the Ministry of Defense on March 21 and 22 transported home patients who initially had symptoms of COVID-19, but later tested negative for the infection. Other vehicles of the National Army are ready to travel to strategic medical institution to take doctors if necessary.
