A new lot of modern medical equipment for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with COVID-19 were donated to inhabitants from the left side of the Nistru and the municipality of Bender. The consignment was provided to the Republic of Moldova by the Federal Government of Germany and the World Health Organization in Moldova, IPN reports.
The lot of medical equipment consists of 20 oxygen concentrators and 20 kits of spare parts and accessories, 40 oxygen nasal cannulas (20 for adults and 20 pediatric ones) and 40 Venturi masks (20 for adults and 20 pediatric ones).
The Reintegration Policies Bureau said that of all the lots of humanitarian aid that entered the Republic of Moldova, including those provided to back the national efforts to protect, prevent, fight and treat the infection with COVID-19, allotments were earmarked for the beneficiaries from the Transnistrian region.
“By such actions, the Moldovan authorities show their permanent preoccupation with the life and health of the citizens from both sides of the Nistru, especially during the pandemic,” the Bureau noted in a press release.
