The extra amount transferred to the state social insurance budget, which is the sum that remains outside the calculated individual contribution, will be returned to the person based on a standard application submitted to the local subdivision of the National House of Social Insurance. This will be possible from February of each year. A copy of the insured person’s identity card will be mandatorily attached to the standard application, IPN reports, quoting a Cabinet decision.

The persons insured in the public social insurance system will get access to their personal data based on a paper or digital account extract issued by the National House of Social Insurance and by accessing the current account in the information system of access to the personal social insurance account (ACCES CPAS).

Earlier, the extra sum transferred to the state social insurance budget could be calculated and refunded within three years. The launch of the information system of access to the taxpayer’s current account and other changes made to the public social insurance system enable to perform this procedure much easier and faster.
