Prime Minister Pavel Filip has instructed the Border Police and the Customs Service to take all the measures necessary to facilitate traffic at border crossings in order to cope with the traditionally large numbers of migrant Moldovans returning home for Easter.
Filip also requested that measures be taken to ensure fire safety in churches as well as public order in the street and in squares during Easter Vigil.
Interior Minister Alexandru Jizdan said fire safety officers are set to inspect every house of worship until Easter. He also assured that the returning Moldovans will not experience delays at border checkpoints.
Additionally, the prime minister requested the issuing authorities of passports and other documents to implement a holiday schedule so that migrant Moldovans can use this period to renew documents.
