Entrepreneurs will save about half a billion lei a year or 0.2% of the GDP following the reduction of bureaucracy in the fiscal and customs sectors. The Cabinet approved a bill that excludes particular administrative barriers and unjustified requirements. In the customs area, online forms will be introduced to declare the goods taken into and out of Moldova through the international postal system, IPN reports.

Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitization, said the bill provides that the oil products and the liquefied petroleum gas will be put on the list of products that can be admitted for customs warehousing. This way, the import-export operations, storage, loading and unloading of oil products and liquefied petroleum gas will be facilitated.

In the fiscal area, the sum considered overdue for fiscal purposes was raised from 100 to 500 lei and the VAT deduction right was introduced for purchases of goods and services through business credit cards  if the value of these does not exceed 2,000 lei, including VAT.

Minister Alaiba said the burden on business entities will be this way eased by about half a billion lei a year. “The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, alongside other state intuitions, continues to promote policies friendly to the business community. We offer them more space and freedom for developing, investing and creating highly-paying jobs in the Republic of Moldova,” stated the official.

The bill is to be given two readings by Parliament.
