The Cabinet agreed the national program for combating hepatitis viruses B, C and D for 2017-2021 and the plan of action for implementing the program, IPN reports.
The authorities aim to develop the services for diagnosing hepatitis viruses B, C and D, to take prophylaxis measures and carry out scientific research, to inform the population about the serious consequences of viral hepatitis and to ensure high quality treatment and continuous care services for patients suffering from hepatitis.
The program will be implemented at an estimated cost 442.8 million lei. In Moldova, about 49,000 people are infected with hepatitis viruses.
