Measures that need to be taken to stop the negative pandemic tendency amid the sharp rise in the number of persons infected with the novel coronavirus and of associated deaths will be proposed in the next meeting of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, IPN reports, quoting the Parliament’s press service.
The given measures, which haven’t been yet specified, were agreed in a meeting centering on the fight against the pandemic by Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grechanyi and acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, together with other Cabinet members.
The officials considered possibilities of providing the national health system with COVID-19 vaccines in the necessary quantity so as to launch the process of immunizing the general population together with the coming into force of the amendments to the law on the institution of measures during the state of public health emergency and a series of normative documents, which allow purchasing vaccines by a simplified procedure, by derogation from the law on public procurement.
