The general mayor of Chisinau municipality, Ion Ceban, opts for fewer formalities and committed work from day one. The mayor says that the work at the City Hall will start tomorrow, at the first hour, but that he might go to the new job even today. The statements have been made today, November 11, after the court session at which the mayor's mandate was validated, IPN reports.
His priorities include: rehabilitation of roads, fighting corruption at the City Hall as well as the housing fund. Ion Ceban argues that among the immediate things to be done are the municipal budget, the preparation for the winter season, but also the appointment of vice-mayors. Moreover, the mayor has mentioned that he is ready to work with every councillor from the Chisinau Municipal Council.
The decision of the first instance court may be appealed against within one day.
