The mayor of Goleni village of Edinet district Ludmila Fandofan, who was chosen on the Communist ticket, defected from the Communist Party (PCRM) to the Democratic Party of Moldova, IPN reports.
In a statement issued to the press, Ludmila Fandofan says the administration of the PCRM remembers the people only when it needs to mount different revolutions and so-called marches through Chisinau and cynically makes use of the people for populist purposes. “The work of the leaders of the district organization of the PCRM, which is managed by persons with a dubious reputation, is disappointing. The PCRM’s representative holding the post of district head also discredited himself. Therefore, I consider it is senseless to support this party,” said the mayor.
Ludmila Fandofan urged other mayors elected on the lists of the PCRM to bear in mind that the people are sick and tired of statements and expect real deeds from those for whom they voted.
