The mayor of Hagimus village of Căușeni district Anatolie Iepure perished in a road accident. The car by which the mayor travelled ran into a roadside metallic parapet.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate Mariana Didenco said the accident occurred at the entrance to Căușeni town at night. The driver was heading from Bender town to Căușeni. He lost control of the car and this crashed into the parapet.
Anatolie Iepure was 68. The impact was fatal for him.
The Liberal Democratic Party disseminated a message of condolence. “With compassion and profound sadness, we inform about the death of the mayor of Hagimus, Căușeni, Anatolie Iepure. He lived his life with special decency, was an active and responsible man, being a mayor respected by all the citizens. He was a great patriot, a fighter for truth and justice. In 1992, he fought on the front line to defend the integrity of the Republic of Moldova,” says the party’s message.
