Doctors recommend not abusing food on Easter, especially when one fasted or has poor digestion. The Chisinau Health Division head Luminita Suveica has told Info-Prim Neo that mayonnaise should be avoided on Easter and one should eat not more than two eggs.
“The people should eat food in moderate qualities and not abuse products of animal origin, particularly fat meat and eggs, as the body must adjust itself after fasting,” stated Luminita Suveica. Instead of fat meat, one should eat salads of fresh carrots, beet and celery. Those who have poor digestion should not eat egg yolks, but drink 1.5-2 liters of clean water and water with lime. The alcoholic beverages should not exceed 100-150 milliliters.
Luminita Suveica recommends doing exercises and walking. “The people usually sit at the table for a long period on holidays and eat as much as they can. That’s why walking is indicated,” she stated.
Those who suffer from chronic gastrointestinal diseases and from cardiovascular diseases should take medications on time. “If one abused food, they should use activated coal or other preparation that help digest food. If the problems are more serious, one should see a doctor,” said Luminita Suveica.
Family doctors will be on guard at all the medical centers of the municipality on Easter. The ambulances will also provide emergency medical assistance.
