Veterans who have suffered lasting effects from the Dniester War, as well as family members of fallen participants, have received financial assistance of 1,000 lei. The payments are traditionally granted in the context of March 2, when the Day of Remembrance and Gratitude is observed, IPN reports.
The National House of Social Insurance specifies that this assistance is intended for 351 individuals who have disabilities as a result of the combat actions to defend the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova, as well as for family members of those who lost their lives in the conflict.
The funds have been transferred to the beneficiaries' social cards. Those who do not have a social card can collect the money from any postal office in the country.
The total funding amounts to 351,000 lei.
