“Martsishor” international music festival opened

The international music festival “Martsishor 2013” was opened in the evening of March 1. The inaugural concert themed “White and pink and pure bud” was organized under the direction of Lidia Panfil. The event was attended by President Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, and Speaker Marian Lupu, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The head of state went onto the stage at the beginning of the event and wished everyone good luck this spring. Nicolae Timofti voiced hope that with the coming of spring, the Moldovans will experience only positive changes in life. The other two officials didn’t make statements and went away before the concert ended. Though they sat in the same row, Marian Lupu and Vlad Filat chose seats far from each other.
The opening concert involved the Symphonic Orchestra of “Teleradio – Moldova” Company conducted by Gheorghe Mustea, the Orchestra of the Advahov Brothers, the National Chamber Choir and the Chamber Orchestra, the dances groups “Codreanca” and “Fluieras”.
Among other participants were singers Mihai Munteanu, Olga Busuioc, Zinaida Julea, Mihai Ciobanu, Cristofor Aldea Teodorovici, Gheorghe Postoronca, Crtistina Croitoru, Vitalie Maciunschi, Cristina Scarlat, Natalia Boboc, Rafael Bobeica, the bands “Akord” and “Noroc” as well as foreign invitees – the Romanian dances ensemble “Transilvania”, Ukrainian singer Iulia Teresciuc, and Russian singer Iury Laptev.
The festival will continue until March 10. Concerts will be given every day at the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac”, the National Opera House “Maria Biesu”, the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, and the Organ Hall. The organizers of the festival said the prices are reasonable so that the tickets are accessible to everyone. The students and pensioners benefit from significant discounts on tickets.
