The President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz said he is fully ready to foster the partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. In a meeting with Prime Minister Pavel Filip in Brussels, Martin Schulz confirmed the EU authorities’ support for the country’s European course, IPN reports.
According to him, since March 2016 the Government of Moldova has made progress in doing reforms, especially in the justice sector and the economy. For his part, Pavel Filip noted the European Parliament’s encouragement and support for the European course of the country are very important for the Moldovan authorities.
The Premier reiterated that both the Government and Parliament are determined to fulfill the commitments assumed by the Moldova – EU Association Agreement.
