The fact that there were instituted four posts of deputy speaker, including one of first deputy speaker, shows that the members of the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) have misunderstandings. The parties that formed the AEI took such measures as a precaution, in case the Alliance falls apart, the Communist MP Mark Tkachuk said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “If an alliance exists indeed, it could do with one post of deputy speaker,” Tkachuk said during a break in the Parliament’s sitting. The MP said that the PCRM has not yet decided who will hold the vacant post of deputy speaker. “We have not yet decided whether to accept it. We do not want to sit on the presidium and smile from the rostrum,” Tkachuk said. The AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu was elected first deputy speaker by the vote of the 53 members of the AEI, while Iurie Tap, of the PLDM, and Marcel Raducanu, of the PDM, were elected as deputy speakers. The Head of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu said the third post of deputy speaker will be held by the PCRM.
