The ratification by the European Parliament of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU is a special political event and a moment of joy, said Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca. According to the diplomat, this ratification crowns an effort made during several years, IPN reports.
“It is an important event for the whole Europe, either we refer to the members states or to the institutions of the EU. I congratulate the Moldovan authorities on this. I also congratulate the Moldovan citizens because the effort of all the reforms and transformations in this state lies on the shoulders of the people rather than on the shoulders of the governmental and political authorities of Moldova”, said Marius Lazurca.
On November 13, the European Parliament ratified the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU. Moldova’s Parliament ratified it on July 2.
