Aurel Marinescu, the vice-president of the company Stati Holding, has been freed from the remand center on Friday but will continue to be under arrest, at home, for the next 30 days, under a decision by the Centru District Court, Info-Prim Neo reports. Marinescu's lawyer, Vlad Gribincea, said the prosecution objected to the decision and could appeal in a three day's time. Aurel Marinescu was arrested on April 8 together with businessman Gabriel Stati on charges of 'usurpation of power' and of organizing the post-election violence on April 7. Stati was freed from the remand center on June 18 and is currently under house arrest.
