The head of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu said that his party never issued ultimatums to the colleagues from the Alliance for European Integration and considers that his colleagues will not do it either. Recently, the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu said that if they renounce the post of Speaker, they may seek the Prosecutor Generals Office, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We have enough intelligence and responsibility to hold discussions, as until now. The dialogue is based on partnership principles and the supremacy of the national interests. The dialogue is the correct way and the discussions will produce results,” Marian Lupu told the press. In an interview, Mihai Ghimpu said that now that the President was elected, his party may ask for the post of Prosecutor General. He avoided saying if he would occupy this post himself. The Liberal Party’s first deputy head Ion Hadarca said that the election of the head of state unbalanced the alliance’s agreement and the AEI Council will discuss this aspect to decide how the situation can be remedied. He stated that the Liberal Party will ask for the Prosecutor General’s Office in exchange for the post of Speaker that belonged to them under the agreement, but is now held by the Democratic Party.
