Speaker of the Parliament Marina Lupu asked the opposition MPs on Friday, July 13, if an artificial parliamentary crisis is not being prepared. After on Friday the opposition MPS voted neither for nor against two draft laws, the speaker said he heard that a parliamentary crisis is being set up, but he does not want to believe that the behaviour of the MPs proves these rumours. After several commentaries made by the opposition MPs the speaker laughed and continued examining other projects. Previously the press in Chisinau as well as the western one was saying that the Moldovan-Russian plan on the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict would include the organisation of early parliamentary elections. During the recent Press Club, MP Anatol Taranu said that the elections can be organised only by generating an artificial parliamentary or governmental crisis. He said that the opposition would not accept early elections.
