Marcel Spatari: In December, those who will not register will get subsidies for low vulnerability category

The persons who decide not to register on www.compensatii.gov.md in December will be put into the low energy vulnerability category even if for November they were offered subsidies as for the average vulnerability category. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spatari called on all the citizens to register so that the state could decide their energy vulnerability category. According to the official, about 40,000 applications with errors were recorded in the first month, IPN reports.

The minister said that 40,000 or 6% of the 675,000 applications for subsidies contain mistakes. The people who consider they were wronged should additionally verify the data indicated in the submitted application.

“If the consumers were offered subsides through the bill not according to the direct method, but according to the indirect method and were paid as for the average category, I urge them to verify again the number of the consumption place, which is the bill code, as this enables the supplier to apply the subsidy in the bill. In the course of this month, we are sending SMSes to the persons who made mistakes so that they correct the data,” Marcel Spatari stated in the program “Black Box” on TV8 channel.

The minister noted the very vulnerable people can be excluded from the system during the first month if they do not manage to register. It was decided to give priority to the most venerable ones during the first month, while the others will get an average vulnerability category for November, which will turn into a low category in December if they do not register.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, 78% of all the applicants for subsidies were put into the very high energy vulnerability category, 12% - into the high energy vulnerability category, 5% - into the average vulnerability category, 2% - into the low vulnerability category, while 1% - into the non-vulnerability energy category.
