The manual filling out of applications for having the disability degree determined will not be allowed as of September 3. According to the Government’s press service, there will be reviewed the criteria for determining the disability so as to exclude any margin of error, while the inspection commissions that examine the teams that determine the disability degree will be directly managed by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, IPN reports.

Currently, the disability degree is determined by 15 teams of experts whose activity is checked by three inspection commissions. Some of the teams examine and prepare by about 700 files a month, while others only 100. In a working meeting of the Cabinet, Prime Minister Pavel Filip asked that the activity of the teams of experts should be assessed correctly and objectively so that those who work efficiently are encouraged, while those who delay the working process and create impediments to the citizens should be dissolved.

The Premier requested that the persons who committed violations and groundlessly provided disability degrees should be held accountable in accordance with the law, while the reform of the disability determination system should be fully implemented and the existing constraints should be removed.

The reform of the disability determination system started this April.
